You Smell Lovely~

Today I went to the mall to do what I do best...shop! ;p On my way out I decided to stop by one of my favorite stores, Sur la Table. They were having a sale and there were a few things that I have had my eye on, so I am in the store browsing and an old man walks up to me and asks,

"Excuse me what scent is that you are wearing?"

"Oh it's moroccan rose."

"Well you smell lovely."

"Thank you."

Is it strange that I didn't find this creepy at all?! haha

I threw an outfit together and I got a few compliments and was asked where I got my skirt so I thought it was blog post worthy...

KitKat Mini Cupcakes

Wow I did not realize it has been this long since I posted anything on my blog! I got a little lazy...I made these back in February, but never posted it.

What You Need:

-1 box of  chocolate cake mix

-Frosting of your choice ( I used milk chocolate frosting)

-1 bag of bite size wafer crackers/cookies (not sure what category they fall under)

-KitKats

Follow instructions on cake box.

Then place wafer into cupcake liners...

Add batter...

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes (Since these are mini's they don't bake as long but if you do regular sized ones then it will take longer to bake.)

Enjoy~

Mini Snicker Cheesecakes

What you need:
2 cups chopped Snickers bars
2 1/2 graham cracker crumbs
2 tbl. granulated sugar
5 tbl. melted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tbl. pure vanilla

In a large bowl mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar ( 2 tbl) and melted butter together:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place a spoonful of crumbs into pan and press down and up the sides. Bake for 5-6 minutes or until browned. Remove from the oven.

Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy. Add eggs and vanilla until well combined. Pour batter into pan and top with the chopped Snickers.* Bake for 23-26 minutes or until the edges of cheesecake are golden brown.

*This was my first time making this and I must say that they turned out delicious, but I would like to make one suggestion. Not sure if this will change the outcome but I noticed putting the Snickers in early on made them very chewy...so I would recommend that the Snickers be placed maybe half way into the baking time.

Also it may overflow in the pan and get a little messy, but once it cools the cheesecakes will settle and go down in size. Make sure you run a knife through all the edges while it is still hot so that it is easy to get out of the pan later!

If you come across any better ways to make these please do share!! :)

Cool Whip Cookies

What you need:
1 (8 ounce) container of cool whip  thawed*
 2 eggs
1 box of your favorite cake or brownie mix
1/3 cup of confectioners' sugar for decoration

Mix the cool whip, cake mix, and 2 eggs in a large bowl:

Keep mixing till the batter becomes thick and sticky:

First I tried to wet my hands and roll into tsp sized balls but that got messy very quick. Then I just used a tsp and spatula and dropped the batter onto the parchment paper.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10 min.:

Sprinkle on some powdered sugar:

These taste like a strawberry milkshake and they are so fluffy!! I couldn't stop eating them...I had 5 in one sitting!Yumm~

*I bought the 12oz container of cool whip and had to use a food scale to measure out 8oz of cool whip. So the one pictured is not the 8oz size.

Denim On Denim

I am so envious of all those bloggers that live on the west coast and still get to post cute summer outfits.Last I heard we are going to get about 4 inches of snow in the next 24 hours and the temp will be in the negatives for the next 3 days :( Got my butt out in the cold today to do an outfit post because the rest of this week will probably be lots of baking which means I will probably pack on more weight...I love the "baking and eating" part but I hate the "pants are getting tighter" part that follows. :-/

Been Awhile...

Its been awhile since I posted something...with the holidays, getting sick and my sister being away I didn't have the motivation to bake but I finally got to do some baking yesterday!! I made peanut butter and jelly muffins for the first time. Considering that it was my first time they came out very tasty but I know what I need to do to make them even better next time!

Here is the recipe:
PBJ Recipe

 First fill it half way...

The recipe calls for 1 tsp. of jelly but after making this I would add 2 tsp.

Then top off with rest of the batter...

 YUMmmm~

Today I went to a macaron making class at Sur La Table in the Natick Mall with my friend, Shirley. Aside from being really fun, it made the idea of making these delicious little treats a lot less intimidating! Now all I need is a food processor and a Kitchen Aid mixer and I'm good to go!!

If it has polka dots you can bet your bottom dollar I will buy it!!! LOL
