Empire State of Mind

I would have post this yesterday, but my internet was down!! :( The boyfriend and I spent this past weekend in New York, sightseeing and taking in all the amazing holiday decorations the city has to offer right now. I took my outfit pictures before I left because I didn't want to bring my big camera with me and I also figured I would be in my big winter coat most of the time!

I am a HUGE Hello Kitty fanatic so when I found out that there was going to be a pop-up HK art exhibit going on the same time we were going to be there I could not wait to go!!

Is this not the cutest and most perfect Christmas tree?!!

It was like a box of sardines trying to get here the first time, but we left and came back later and had a easier time seeing the tree. Could not believe how crowded it was...lesson learned! DO NOT go the week before Christmas!!

 There was something bright and cool to look at everywhere you turned! Worth the trip in my opinion.

And no trip is complete without getting some macarons! On this trip I was introduced to these large ones from Bouchon Bakery. Yummmmmm~ Pistachio is my favorite flavor :D

Hope this nice sunny weather sticks around. Tomorrow the boyfriend and I will be in NYC!! Cannot wait to catch up with friends and see the tree for the first time!! Now off to pick up some magazines for the long bus ride...

Oxblood

After searching high and low I finally found the perfect shade of oxblood pants at one of my favorite shopping destinations, H&M!! It was also the LAST one and in my size so it was meant to be! :D

Today is my sister's birthday so we got take-out from Takara and I got my favorite dish veggie yaki udon noodles with miso soup. YuMMM~

Ferrero Rocher Brownie Bites

I recently purchased these Hello Kitty cake molds on Sanrio.com ( one of my FAVORITE sites!!) got them yesterday and I could not wait to use them!! Today I baked Ferrero Rocher Brownie bites...they are soooo good!:)

All you need it a box of brownie mix and ferrero rocher chocolates. Follow the instructions on the box:

Smells so good~

After taking them out of the oven immediately insert chocolates:

I love the crunchy texture of the candy inside the brownie!

Tastes like a chocolate lava cake you get at restaurants with the ice cream! I will definately be making these again!!! :D

Rain Rain Go Away~

I'm not a fan of rain, but I DO love any occasion that I get to wear my pink Hunter wellies,carry my Hello Kitty umbrella,and wear my polka dot rain coat!! :)

 I got this top a few years ago from Anthropologie on sale. I'm usually an XS but this is a L and was the last one! Luckily its a style that can be worn pretty baggy. Once I tried it on I was sold! 

I love the pleated chiffon back detail...

     

I alway get compliments when I wear my pink wellies, probably because they are so bright and hard not to notice on rainy days!I feel like a kid again when I put these on and jump in puddles!
